Vintage Pattern Drafts
These are vintage shirt patterns drafted circa 1940-1959. Notice the subtle shaping of the pattern pieces.
I was going to comment on this too. In an old Palmer Pletsch book I saw a tip if you were going to put a placket in a sleeve. You would cut the sleeve pattern lengthwise and tape the cut off piece to the other side - yielding a shape like this - so that the placket is at the seamline and is easier to sew!

The sleeve pattern (upper right) is very different from other sleeves. Why is it shaped that way? (sorry for all these questions)
