Stripes and Flowers for the Little Diva

My youngest niece, Bella, turns 8 years old soon...too soon...I wish they could stay little forever! So...while she still enjoys bright cheerful clothes,
I made this set as part of her "Birthday Wardrobe."

Bella's Birthday Hoodie

This outfit was made with Ottobre Design patterns that I changed liberally to suit my design whim of the moment.

The Hoodie is from issue 04/07, #16, made with Chez Ami fabrics.

The Pants are the elastic waist pants pattern, issue 03/03, #23, made from cotton twill.

Omigosh, so adorable! You're right, there is such a limited window when you can sew fun things like this for little girls, before they want clothes just like everyone else has.

Very cute outfit. Happy Birthday to Bella. I am making cupcakes for my birthday girl, she turns 22 on Saturday. Seems like yesterday she was 8.

Summerset and Lindsay...Bella would rather be in camo and distressed jeans (and I have made those kinds of outfits for her too)...but sometimes she'll be in the mood for bright happy clothes.
Sadly I think "ruffles" are over for both Willow (10) and Bella (soon to be 8).

So...soon I'll have to satisfy my "cute clothes" sewing cravings for some younger children who have needs.
